QuickNode acquires NFT analysis platform Icy Tools

Financial details for the first blockchain development platform acquisition were not disclosed.

Blockchain development platform QuickNode has announced its first acquisition with the purchase of icy.tools, a non-fungible token (NFT) analytics platform. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

  • Founded in 2021, icy.tools enables users to discover, track and analyze NFTs by providing access to real-time price and volume data, historical charts and transaction histories.
  • The icy.tools analytics platform will remain a standalone product, while the API will be integrated into the QuickNode developer platform.
  • QuickNode closed a $35 million Series A funding round last October that also included 776, the investment firm of Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian.
  • "We were already convinced of QuickNode's power for developers, but the acquisition of icy.tools puts QuickNode at the forefront of NFT development and creates an integrated Web3 development and analytics platform," Ohanian said in the press release.
