The crypto market saw an uptick in the past 48 hours, as Bitcoin is up 7% in the past 2 days, trading for $21,603.56 while Ethereum jumped even higher, in terms of percentage, as it rose 13% in the past 48 hours, trading for $1,763.23. The crypto market at large is up 6.3%, as the markets reacted positively to a record rate hike by the European Central Bank (ECB), and the vows of a rate hike by Federal Reserve Bank (Fed) Chairperson Jerome Powell, hitting a peak so far on Friday, 9th September 2022. On Thursday, 8th September 2022, the ECB announced a 75 basis point interest rate rise, taking its benchmark deposit rate to 0.75%. This slight bounce is a positive sign for Bitcoin, as less than a week ago, the flagship cryptocurrency dropped Below $19,000 its lowest price since June. According to Macroeconomist Raoul Pal, there’s an 80% chance that the low was in. In an AMA, Raoul gave his 12-month outlook for what he sees coming with crypto. Raoul believes the much-anticipated Ethereum merge will not only set up a strong case for institutions to jump into Ethereum, but he believes that due to the flaws in Ethereum’s network, there will be opportunities for others to jump in and make an impact in crypto. Raoul stated that he doesn’t know exactly which coins will step up, but he has a hunch on a few that look promising.
