As a guest at the Wharton Crypto Conference 2022, macro analyst Raoul Pal expressed that NOW is the best time to enter the crypto market, particularly for Altcoins. Despite being down 0.5% in the past week, Ethereum had a strong month, up just under 20% in the past 30 days. Raoul believes that a turn is coming for crypto, as liquidity is being taken out of the market. According to Raoul, when the turn of the macro comes, we will see crypto prices explode. But in the meantime, Raoul believes now is a fantastic opportunity to buy. Raoul states that the price doesn’t matter as much, whether crypto goes down another 20 or 30%, because this is an exponential trend, that can see a 20 to 30x move in the long term.
Raoul Pal is the CEO and co-founder of Real Vision and CEO and publisher of The Global Macro Investor. He was co-manager of the GLG global macro hedge fund in London. In 2004, he retired from fund management and started The Global Macro Investor in January 2005. He was one of a relatively small number of investors to predict the mortgage crisis of 2008–2009.
